Property For Sale In Macquarie Fields NSW With No Agent Property

Read below the transcript of the video from Sunrise about this homeowners group who decided to sell their homes as one block with No Agent Property.

Michael (interviewer):
A group of neighbours in the western Sydney suburb Macquarie Fields is set to become instant Millionaires. They joined forces to sell their homes, in what will be, one of the biggest joint sales in Australia. There it is! Their record five and a half thousand square metre (5,500m2) parcel could see them pocket  22  million  dollars ($22mil). So to talk about it now, Kylie and Ravinder Singh plus their fellow neighbours – Good morning to you all! Kylie, it was you and your husband who had this idea of the group sale, what gave you that idea?

Kylie:
Morning Michael. The idea had come from previous sales conducted by home-owners in other suburbs that had been proven to be very successful.

Michael (interviewer):
Yeah, look, there have been some colossal sales and this has worked very well. Ravinder, how hard was it to get all the neighbours on board, there’s a few of them with you now.

Ravinder:
Well it wasn’t that hard at all, the neighbours are fairly intelligent. We’ve all invested (although many years ago). The dividends of this sale will see all of us in a better position.

Michael (interviewer):
What’s the – you probably will see in better position, given the house prices – What’s the median house price there and what are you hoping to get for each home, or are you working it as a block entirely?

Ravinder:
Well, the medium house  price  650  –  900  thousand ($650-900,000). Because of the joint sale we are all hoping to fetch 2 million ($2mil) and above for each property. It’s a win situation for the state government, local councils, developers and most importantly, a win situation for the home-owners.

Michael (interviewer):
I’ve seen this happen before in Sydney – I’ve always felt for maybe the one neighbour on the other side who’s not involved, how did you work out who was involved and who wasn’t?

Ravinder:
Kylie and myself spoke to all the neighbours and a few of them needed thumbscrews – no not at all! They were quite eager to come on board and they could see the area being developed, and that’s the way we’re going to go with it.

Michael (interviewer):
I can see the plug in the background there, but Kylie, you’re not dealing with an agent here, why not?

Kylie:
Well I’d already studied and completed my certificates in property services, so rather than go to a realestate agent and paying all of their fees and commission, I simply approached a company in Melbourne called No Agent Property. For a small advertising fee they offered the same professional services you would expect from any real estate agent but by doing this, I’ve saved the group tens of thousands of dollars.

Michael (interviewer):
You’ve just done your own ad there. I’m wondering if you all got lucky by the re-zoning of this though, it’s only recently that changed, wasn’t it, that you’re able to do this there?

Ravinder:
Absolutely, since the state government, they allowed a corridor – Glenfield-McArthur corridor’s implemented in November 2017. The area is for, about 400 meters from the station is now classified as R3, which gives us potential for six storey apartments.

Michael (interviewer):
Any interest yet?

Kylie:
We’ve had a lot of interest, but now with the re-zoning in place, certainly gives the developer any things that they were worried about is certainty now for them though.

Michael (interviewer):
Ravinder very quickly, what is likely to go there, a million apartments or is it shopping centre, or what’s it allowed to be?

Ravinder:
Well there’s the shopping centre – there are really shopping centres in Macquarie fields, it’s about two minutes away and the station is 350 meters away. Where we are it’s situated, is about 350 meters from the station. We only – ours is medium density buildings, which is 3-6 stories, around our area where we are putting this plan in place. But anything close to the station is shops down the bottom and I believe high-rises.

Michael (interviewer):
Yeah, well anything close to the station is a bonus. Alright, good luck with the sale!, Be interested to see what you get in the end.

Thanks for your time this morning.
